“Peninsula Stream Society held it first major Gala Dinner and Auction Fundraiser in early November of 2019 and it was a resounding success. Previous dinner fundraisers raised a small fraction of what we were able to raise from the 190 guests attending. Careful planning, a helpful engaged volunteer group, a good venue with a great caterer and an experienced coach and facilitator makes it all happen. Early in the planning process our mostly all volunteer committee enlisted Mr. Steve Duck of TIDES Group as a result of experiencing the success of the Sidney Summit held early that year at the Mary Winspear Centre in which Steve was the event planner and MC. He attended several of our planning meeting and it quickly became apparent he is very astute in knowing how to successfully plan a charity fundraiser. Upon Steve’s recommendation we hired a very professional caterer who with her team delivered a first rate dinner which all enjoyed. The attributes Steve brings to the planning process leading up to the event and his organized MC approach would be an asset to any company, charity or groups function and I can highly recommend his services.”
