Looking out toward Sidney Spit in the sunshine … what a beautiful day on the Salish Sea!
I sit soaking in the warmth, taking in the sights, happy to see Spring in the air. The seagulls wait patiently at the Sidney Fish Market for any tidbits they hope will appear. The whale watching zodiacs are returning from a visit to one of the resident orca pods, today out by Mayne Island. Other sun soakers wander the boardwalk taking in the sculptures, breathing the fresh sea scents or playing on the park grass. I’m content to relax and ponder after this morning’s wonderful 30 KM ride on the Saanich Peninsula. It included my favorite road, Tatlow Road, lined with pasture and woods … so peaceful! The Salish Sea and its lands are remarkable!
