On Saturday, October 25th, Pumpkins on the Pier came to Beacon Park to start the Halloween season with some family fun. The event launches the 2014 campaign for the Saanich Peninsula Secret Santas Toys for Tots program. Apple-biting, pumpkin pie eating, trick-or-treating and wonderful pumpkin art are part of this afternoon of activity for everyone. At the conclusion of the day’s events, the pumpkins will be paraded to Beacon Pier for display in the week leading up to Halloween.
Saturday, October 25th at Beacon Park
2:00PM Pumpkins on the Pier 2014 opening.
2:15PM Carved pumpkins on display – please bring your entry to Beacon Park.
2:30PM Trick or Treat Downtown Sidney – in costume visit stores for special treats.
3:15PM Apple biting – sink your teeth into a suspended apple for a prize.
3:30PM Judging of carved pumpkins.
3:45PM Pumpkin pie eating contest.
4:00PM Prizes awarded.
4:15PM Pumpkin Parade – pumpkins from Park to Pier for week long display.
4:30PM Beacon Pavilion Youth Sounds.
6:30PM Pumpkins on the Pier 2014 closing.
